In our discover Gibraltar series this our first part will describe probably the most important and loved place: THE APES DEN. These are Barbary Macaque apes and this is the only place where they live wild in Europe. The story goes that the as long as there are apes, Gibraltar will remain under British rule. You can take the cable car or go up by car. Beware of what You wear as the apes can be quick to try and grab something. Same goes for food, if You are flashing som juicy peanuts or similar they will be quick to grab some. Look out as there is a fine for feeding them and maybe they bite.
