With over 320 days of sunshine per year, the Costa del Sol has a typical Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. It normally never rains during the summer but during the winter it can rain 3-4 days in a row. If you want to avoid the hottest time of the year October is a great month to visit with nice temperatures. The rest of the winter stays fairly warm during daytime with the nights being cooler. When you are out in the sun it is perfect to sunbathe but very important to cover yourself up when you go into the shade as there is a big difference in temperature with the warm sun on your skin to the cooler air.
