On the 15th of march 2010 the new terminal 3 at Malaga airport will be inaugurated by HRH King Juan Carlos. The new terminal 3 will have 86 check in desks and 20 boarding gates. The total capacity of Malaga airport will be 9000 passengers per hour doubling todays capacity. Terminal 3 will also feature a new electronic system that can handle 7500 suitcases per hour. It will also house several restaurants and shops. Ryanair earlier announced that they will set up a base at Malaga airport with 4 Boeing aircraft stationed at Malaga and several new routes are planned for June 2010. 2010 will be the perfect year to visit the Costa del Sol, prices are going down on property and the Pound seems to gain against the euro.
